A message from Musea Collective and Curator, Shiloh Sophia

Dear Creative,

Every year since 2013 our Intentional Creativity community has spent the month of March celebrating and advocating for women in honor of International Women's Day and the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women.

While the ongoing pandemic has prevented us from our annual trip to New York to share our voices on the 'big stage', we are now making our own global stage where we can uplift the voices, art and stories from women around the world. Shiloh Sophia has also recently been a guest speaker at the virtual UNCSW conference on March 19th, sharing on the Future of Feminine Business.

As part of our physical and virtual Musea Museum, we are pleased to present to you our first annual festival of many muses, many lands, many voices and many hands.

We have heard time and again from our students and members how having a virtual community to turn towards during these times of isolation has made such a difference in feeling not alone.

If you are new here or desire to connect with a community focused on making art with intention, celebrating our diverse cultures and carrying the core belief that self-expression is a basic human right, then we welcome you to this experience.

with gratitude for your company,

~ Musea Collective and Shiloh Sophia

A few photos from past UNCSW trips

"I feel like I am part of a global creative community that is consciously making space to encourage, support and enable people to connect to their form of creative expression. It is an open, inclusive community where you are welcomed to arrive just how you are, in the context of your artistic story. The richness is in the diversity of cultures, ages and experience. I very much feel it is a community space that if I choose to do so I can grow into. It does not feel corporate but real." ~ Musea Member

Featured Intentional Creativity Experience
with Curator, Shiloh Sophia!
Draw and Paint Women Dancing

Message from Musea Curator, Shiloh Sophia

During the festival I offer a featured Intentional Creativity session and teach how to draw women dancing - it's a fun process. This is accessible to anyone at any level of drawing experience.

Together I show you three ways of drawing women together in movement - no experience needed.

1. Intuitive Gesture - with simply lines indicating motion - what are the basic ingredients

2. Stick Figure to Full Figure - start with stick figures and make them dance!

3. Continuity Contour - making a line of people without lifting the pen

Then I show you the simplest way to float color into the drawing, just the way Sue Hoya Sellars - my art mentor - showed me when I was 22 years old!

This is fun, informative, and offers a big leap into your drawing journey. We aren’t drawing form life in these, that would be Sue’s Class. But in Dancing Women will show you the way I learned to draw, from both my mom and Sue - for someone who was ‘life drawing’ challenged.

Musea Curator, Shiloh Sophia's keynote Intentional Creativity offering.

In this featured session, she teaches us how to draw people dancing and has a lot of fun in the process. This is accessible to anyone at any level of drawing experience, and will help connect us with our creative Muse!

Want to create with Shiloh Sophia all weekend?

Consider joining our Livestream Class MUSE FUSE - Sunday, March 28 at 12 pm PT, guided by Shiloh Sophia.

Your Muse has something she wants to tell you...will you listen? With the combined energy of so many women working together, we will harness the power of collective creativity in an intentional, sacred, and playful experience.

Let's gather our energies together from across the world and access the prowess, power, and possibility of the MUSE.

This could be a painting, drawing, dancing or any other creative act that calls forth your unique self-expression.

We have a virtual and on-location Museum and University with our Mothership location based in Sonoma, California. As well as sister locations around the world.

We provide revolutionary education to thousands of people every month who long to discover or reignite their connection with their own creative Muse!
